| 520 | |a 역설적으로 재난의 ‘위기’는 종교에게 ‘기회’가 될 수 있다. 원인을 알 수 없고 해법도 찾을 수 없는 재난 속에서 불안과 두려움에 떠는 유한한 인간은 초월적 힘이나 존재에 의지하고 싶어하기 때문이다. 하지만 이번 코로나19 팬데믹에서는 오히려 종교의 위기가 악화되고 심화되고 있어 보인다. 재난 시대 종교의 사회적 신뢰도는 역대 최저, 최악이다. 그 핵심 원인은 재난에 대한 종교의 인식과 대응이 사회적 상식과 기대에 한참 못 미쳐서다. 이렇게 된 데는 반지성적이고 반사회적인 행태를 보인 한국 개신교의 책임이 가장 크다. 그러므로 이 논문은 우선, 첫째, 코로나 시대에 한국 개신교 교회가 보인 ‘예배 사태’와 ‘혐오’ 문제를 비판적으로 살펴본다. 둘째, 코로나로 인한 개신교 종교문화 및 신자 의식의 변화를 탈권위주의와 탈교회주의를 중심으로 분석한다. 셋째, 현재의 재난을 극복하기 위한 공동 노력에 종교가, 특히 개신교가 기여할 수 있는 바를 치유의 영성, 돌봄의 윤리, 사회적 성찰 세 가지로 제시한다. | ||
| 520 | |a Paradoxically, a crisis caused by disaster can be an opportunity for religion. It is because human beings, who are trembling with anxiety and fear before an incomprehensible and unsolvable disaster, are tend to rely on a transcendent power or being. However, in the present COVID-19 pandemic, it seems that the crisis of religion is rather worsened and intensified. In Korea, for instance, the degree of social trust in religion is at an all-time low and the worst. The reason is that religions’ recognitions and responses to the disaster fall far short of the common sense and expectations of society. It is broadly agreed that the Korean Protestant Church, which is imbued with anti-intellectual and anti-social thoughts and behaviors, is largely responsible for this phenomenon. In this thesis, therefore, firstly, I will critically examine the ‘worship controversy’ and ‘hate’ issues of Korean Protestant churches in the time of COVID-19. Secondly, I will analyze the changes in Protestant religious culture and believers’ consciousness due to Corona pandemic, focusing on post-authoritarianism and post-churchism. Finally, I would like to suggest three factors that religion in general and Protestant Christianity in particular might contribute to joint efforts to overcome the present disaster: the spirituality of healing, ethics of care, and social reflection. | ||
