A Study on the Family Soteriology of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification

| Résumé: | 대부분 종교는 구원을 개인 또는 사회의 관점에서 이해하는 반면, 세계평화통일가정연합은 개인, 사회와 더불어 가정도 구원의 범주로 이해한다. 따라서 가정연합의 구원론은 개인구원, 사회구원, 가정구원의 범주로 구성된다. 가정연합에 의하면, 구원은 타락으로 이루지 못한 신의 창조목적을 실현하는 것이다. 가정구원은 크게 세 가지 의미를 함께 갖는다. 첫째, 신을 중심한 창조본연의 가정을 회복하는 것이다. 둘째, 신을 중심한 본연의 가정을 통해 신의 자녀로 거듭나며, 사랑의 인격과 신인일체의 영성을 함양하는 것이다. 셋째, 가정 단위로 구원을 이루는 것이다. 구원은 현세와 내세 모두에서 가족과 함께 구원받을 때 가능하며, 최종적으로 인류 대가족이 함께 구원받을 때 완성된다. 가정구원론은 다음의 특징과 의의를 보인다. 첫째, 가정이 구원의 범주가 될 수 있음을 보여준다. 둘째, 1남1녀 부부와 그 자녀로 형성된 가정을 가정의 원형(原型)이며 창조의 원리로 규정한다. 셋째, 성속 일치의 생활종교를 지향한다. 넷째, 유일신 종교의 타력구원과 동양종교의 자력구원 요소를 함께 갖는다. 다섯째, 가정에 기반한 만인구원론을 내포한다. Most religions understand salvation either from the perspective of the individual or of the society. The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (hereafter FFWPU), however, understands salvation first from the perspective of family, and on that foundation interprets the salvation of the individual and of society. Thus, FFWPU’s soteriology addresses three levels: the individual, the society, and the family. In FFWPU, salvation means basically the restoration and realization of God’s original purpose of creation. Family salvation has a threefold meaning. First, it means to restore and perfect the original God-centered family. Second, it means to be reborn as God’s son and daughter and grow through God-centered family life to be a person of ideal character and love, a person united with God. Third, it means that all families will be saved and that God’s providence of salvation will be consummated when humanity as a whole is saved. Family-centered salvation has the following features and significances. First, it shows that family is a soteriological category in which salvation and family are harmonized. Second, it establishes an archetypal family formed by one man as husband and one woman as wife. Third, it proposes a lived religion that does not separate the sacred from the secular. Fourth, it combines the theistic concept that salvation depends upon God and comes through a Savior, with the Asian concept that salvation is achieved by personal endeavor. Fifth, it presents a strong soteriological universalism whose inherent teleological goal is the salvation of all humanity on Earth and in the spirit world. |
