Zusammenfassung: | Christianity,EducationandAfricanCultureareawidetopicthathasnolimitations.DespitethefactthatReligionandeducationworkedhandinhandinordertopenetrateAfricanculture,AfricanculturestillhavehereffectsonthedoctrinesandsystemofReligionandeducation.ThepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheconnectionbetweenReligionandeducationonAfricanculture.ThisstudyisbasedonAfricaasacontinentandNigeriaasacountry.TheresearchlookedatReligionfromtheperspectiveofChristianity.Hence,abriefhistoryoftheconnectionbetweenChristianityandeducationinNigeriawasconsidered.Morealso,theeffectsofAfricancultureonChristianityandeducationinNigeriaandalsothechallengesofChristianityandeducationonAfricanculturewerediscussed.Nodoubt,Educationhasbecomeaprominentprocesstoday;itcouldaswellbetracedbacktotheChristianmission’sestablishmentofprimaryandsecondaryschoolsinthe1800s.TheworkthenexplainsthefoundationofChristianityandeducationwiththeeffectsoftheduoonAfricanculture.Historicalandphenomenologicalmethodswereemployedincarryingoutthisresearchanditisourbeliefthatjusticewouldbedone to this topic in this regard. |
