Description
Summary:This article aims to observe and discuss the displacements that have already occurred and those still ongoing in the context of the Revelry of Kings, regarding the role and place of women. It is important to present how the female representatives of revelry, especially the umbanda’s practioners, are entering this universe before destined only to the men, discussing how the female participation in the Umbandist and Catholic revelations is envisaged. For this, it is necessary to trace a history of the trajectory of women and their contribution in the constitution of Umbanda and Christianity, to understand the reproduction process of a religious structure within the revelries. Keywords: Woman, Revelry of Kings, Umbanda, Catholicism
