Description
Summary:Thanks to Umbanda's religious syncretism, one can verify a pacific daily relationship between the various creeds of which this religion consists as it opens its "terreiros" for Brazilian diverse social strata without imposing economic, ethnical, religious or gender restrictions. Such openness allows for women to contact the Pombagira entity and entrust her with their affective and sexual issues. Having this theme as a starting point, the article before us considers the Umbandist realm as enabling cultural sustainability as well as the sustainability of female subjectivity and sexuality.
