The article is divided into two parts which are held together by the thought of Basil the Great. The first part provides some reflection upon the relation between faith and reason in the Address to Young Men while the second part tackles some aspects of the trinitarian debate in the Letter 38 of the Corpus of Basil. The intent is to demonstrate that by defining Trinity Basil draws on some Greek philosophical categories; in particular, he takes up the debate, on one hand, on the notion of ousia in Aristoteles and the Stoics and, on the other hand, on the concept of hypostasis in the Neoplatonist tradition. | ||

L'articolo è distinto in due parti, accomunate dal pensiero di Basilio Magno.
