La révision du linteau inscrit (1982) renouvelle l’interprétation du texte en matière de chronologie, de théologie et de prosopographie. Datée de septembre 551, cette dédicace de construction à la gloire de la Vierge Mère de Dieu fait écho à l’Edictum de recta fide qui venait d’être promulgué par Justinien Ier. Le dédicant, un duc nommé Fredulf inconnu jusqu’ici, pourrait être d’origine franque. Les travaux entrepris, probablement liés à la défense du limes, sont postérieurs de quelques mois à la restauration des remparts de Chalcis ordonnée par Justinien. Revised edition of an inscription found in the Ǧebel Ḥaṣṣ near Anasartha, and incorrectly read by the first editor (1945). The study of the inscribed lintel (1982) leads to a new interpretation of the text’s chronology, theology and prosopography. This building inscription engraved in September 551 in honour of the Virgin Mother of God echoes the Edictum de recta fide recently released by Justinian I. The author of the dedication was a previously unknown duke named Fredulf. He may have been of Frankish origin. His building activity, which likely aimed at defending the limes, followed the restoration of the walls of Chalcis ordered by Justinian a few months earlier. نسخة منقّحة من نقش جبل الحّص بالقرب من خناصر، قرئ بشكلٍ خاطئ من قِبل الناشر الأول عام) ١٩٤٥ . (مراجعة الساكف المنقوش عام ) ١٩٨٢ ( أعطت تفسيراً جديداً للنّص من ناحية التسلسل الزّمني، دراسة اللاهوت، والعلوم المساعدة للتاريخ التي تدرس الانتماء والمهنية للأفراد المهمين. هذا الإهداء المؤرّخ في أيلول ٥٥١ م، للبناء تمجيداً للعذراء أمُّ الله كان له صدىً على بيان الإيمان الحقيقي (Edictum de recta fide) الذي نشره جوستنيان الأول. الشخص الذي قام بالإهداء، هو قائد (Dux في اللاتينية) غير معروف إلى الآن ويُدعى فرودولف (Fredulf) قد يكون من أصل فرنجي. إنّ أعمال البناء، التي هي على الأرجح متصلة بالدفاع في نظام التحصين على حدود الإمبراطورية الرومانية، أتّت لاحقة بعد بضعة شهور من أعمال الترميم لأسوار قنسرين Chalcis التي أمر بها جوستنيان. |
