C'est cette attitude qui les aurait, selon certains, progressivement constitués en un groupe religieux privilégié situé en marge de la communauté civique. Mais nous contestons que les privilèges aient pu jouer un rôle dans la marginalisation juridique des Juifs, l'im-munitas ne constituant pas nécessairement, contrairement à ce que sous-entend l'étymologie, le négatif de la com-munitas. | ||

They also asked for privileges to practice their laws (Shabbat, circumcision ... ). According to some historians, these requests for privileges set them apart from the civic community. This article suggests that privileges played no role in the political marginalisation of the Jews, as im-munitas was not necessarily the negative of com-munitas. | ||
