Description
Résumé:This essay will explore the relationship between synodality as an ecclesiality and Receptive Ecumenism as one form of enacting the synodal vision within the ministry of ecumenism. In so doing, this essay will consider how Receptive Ecumenism within the ministry of Christian unity fosters transformation and koinonia within and between communions and presents an ecclesial vision for the People of God that is analogous to the Trinitarian koinonia, thus offering a vision for ecumenism that avoids both Parmenidean homogeneity or Heraclitian flux, which has plagued the ecumenical endeavor.
