Zusammenfassung:The Christian document of the second century known under the title the Acts of the Martyrs of Lyons and Vienne provides a number of various Greek and Jewish biblical and extra-biblical images and terminologies. Based on the insights of several previous scholars and adding my own investigations, I propose seven types of metaphors or terminologies that constitute the composite texture of the document.
