ThepaperoutlinedsomepossiblefunctionsbywhichtheChurchinNigeriacancontributeimmenselytowardsthedesiredliberation.ThepaperconcludesthatacombinationofthetaskofspiritualandsocialliberationenhancestheChurch,morethananyotherinstitution,toinfluencethesocio-politicalandeconomiclifeofthe Nigerian society so positively as to restore justice, equity and peace.
