Zusammenfassung:Facebookisasocialmediumplatformwhereinteractionisbeingmadebydifferentpeoplearoundtheglobe.However,theuseofelectronicdeviceimprovestheskillsofteachersandmakeslearningeasierforthestudentsinameaningfulway.ThisstudyexaminedtheInfluenceofFacebookandelectronicdevicesontheacademicperformanceofstudentsinIslamicStudiesinIlorinWestLocalGovernmentArea,Nigeria.However,asurveydesignwasadoptedforthisstudy.Thequestionnairewasusedtocollectdatafrom200respondentsinaseniorsecondaryschoolinIlorinWestLocalGovernmentArea,Nigeria.Thevalidityoftheinstrumentwasacquiredaftertheseriesofamendmentsbythreemeasurementandevaluationexperts.Forthereliabilityofaninstrument,apre-testwasconductedforthequestionnaireandtheresultswereusedtocalculatethereliabilitycoefficientwhichwas0.74.Chi-squarewasusedtotestthetwoResearchHypothesisgeneratedinthestudy.TheSPSSvision23wasusedfordataanalysis.However,FacebookfindingsofthisstudyrevealedthatmajorityofstudentsspenttheirtimeonFacebook.Itfurthershowedthatthemajorityofthelearnersstronglybelievedthatusinganelectronicdevicesuchassmartphonetoteachinclassimprovestheiracademicperformance,especiallyinIslamicStudies.Itwasrecommendedthat;government,teachersandparentsshouldworkhandinhandtoenlightenthestudentsonhowtheusagetheFacebookwillhelptheiracademic endeavor.
