| Summary: | In this article an attempt was made to show the abortion issues in socio-political context in Poland and Brazil. In these countries, despite different legal regulations, the "abortion issues" appear from time to time in public debate with a clear orientation towards toughening legislative solutions to date. It repeatedly involves various forms of social mobilization, which generally focus on maintaining the legal regulations in force. The initiators of the mentioned proposals for amendments are not so much religious organizations, more precisely the Catholic Church, which could be indicated by the denominational structure and its position in the analyzed countries, as other players of social life. It makes the abortion issues a rather specific instrument of political influence. These issues will be presented in two dimensions: first of all, the data referring to the scale of this phenomenon; secondly, the emerging legislative proposals, questioning hitherto binding legal regulations. Problematyka aborcji nie od dziś wpływa, a w istocie znacząco "podgrzewa" życie polityczne zarówno w Polsce, jak i w Brazylii. Sprawy dotyczące aborcji uregulowane zostały (choć w nieco inny sposób) w obydwu krajach w wyniku swoistych targów politycznych w okresie trudnej transformacji systemowej, wprowadzającej porządek demokratyczny i zasady neoliberalne, która miała miejsce niemal w tym samym okresie (Brazylia wychodziła od 1985 roku z prawicowej dyktatury wojskowej, w Polsce zaś proces postsocjalistycznych przemian zainicjowano w 1989 roku). |
