| Summary: | Many scholars have already considered the interpretation of the Bible in the works of I. Franko, including Vera Sulim, Larisa Bondar, Oksana Zabuzhko and others. However, these studies touch upon some aspects of Frank's vision of the Bible, or consider individual works of thinkers written on biblical subjects, such as "Moses," "The Death of Cain," "The Legend of Pilate," etc. Let us try here to show that the work of Ivan Franko demonstrates not only a deep philosophical understanding of the Bible, a new, not dogmatic reading of its ancient stories, but also an objective and scientific analysis of the knowledge about it that has accumulated in its time by world scientific criticism. Трактування Біблії у творах І.Франка розглядали вже багато дослідників, зокрема Віра Сулима, Лариса Бондар, Оксана Забужко та інші. Проте ці дослідження зачіпають окремі аспекти Франкового бачення Біблії, або розглядають окремі твори мислителя, написані на біблійні сюжети, як "Мойсей", "Смерть Каїна", "Легенда про Пілата" тощо. Спробуємо тут показати, що творчість Івана Франка демонструє не лише глибоке філософське осягнення Біблії, нове, не догматичне прочитання її прадавніх історій, а й об’єктивно-науковий аналіз тих знань про неї, які на його часи накопичила світова наукова критика. |
