| Résumé: | The Department of Religious Studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine congratulates you and the Church under your control on the glorious anniversary of the 420th anniversary of the Brest Cathedral in 1596. This cathedral laid the foundation for the return of Ukrainian Christianity to its still confessional non-separation, to Christianity, adopted in 988 for Rus-Ukraine Volodymyr the Great. This council led simultaneously to the preservation of the Ukrainian Eastern Rite and the Ukrainian language in worship, eventually securing Ukrainians from full polonization and dipping. Відділення релігієзнавства Інституту філософії НАН України вітає Вас і керовану Вами Церкву із славним ювілеєм - 420-річчям Берестейського Собору 1596 року. Собор цей заклав основу повернення Українського християнства до стану своєї ще конфесійної нероз’єднаності, до християнства, прийнятого у 988 році для Руси-України Володимиром Великим. Собор цей призвів водночас до збереження Українського Східного обряду й української мови в богослужінні, зрештою - убезпечив українців від повної полонізації й обмосковлення. |
