Zusammenfassung:The Religious Status Inventory (RSI), a widely used English language measure of Christian religious practice and maturity, has been subjected to factor analysis in which 6 first-order factors and 1 second-order factor were found. The basic dimen- sions on which the scale was constructed were only partially confirmed. This study factor analyzed an Estonian translation of the RSI utilizing Estonian students and church members. Fourteen first-order factors were found after varimax and promax rotations. These results are interpreted in terms of the differing aspects of Estonian re- ligious life and the quality of the translation.
