Description
Résumé:This paper explores the meaning that social work has for an ONG named Impulso Social which is closely related to the Personal Prelature of Opus Dei. Therefore, it studies its actions through participant observation and by interviewing its leaders and volunteers. The ethnographic perspective allows us to understand the integral formative aim these actions have. Specifically, these initiatives instruct the girls and teenage volunteers in "professionalism". As it will be seen, in the diverse activities offered, they learn and put into practice different knowledge and ways of approaching and treating others. Thus, related to its specific charisma, this experience allows them to properly develop in their daily affairs and future jobs, which are the suitable path to sanctify themselves.
