Hope groups were designed to help individuals dealing with physical illness, including cancer. Hope groups are led by a guide trained in the organization’s philosophy of wellness, one strongly rooted in a spiritually-oriented approach to hope. following a brief review of findings on related support groups, empirical studies of Hope group participation are presented. a retrospective study is highlighted that is primarily qualitative in nature and especially focused on the spiritual aspects of hope. | ||
