Résumé:In a personal reflection, the author considers the discipline of listening required to effectively and respectfully strive to understand other people, cultures, and religions in field research. Possible future directions for Religious Studies scholarship as a contribution to the broader field of agriculture are discussed. The importance of greater public engagement with Religious Studies scholarship is also raised.
