Summary:The purpose of this article is to analyse the views of materiality in connection with views concerning women in the history of Swedish Lutheran theology and in the common worldview of today’s Swedes. This is related to ecofeminist critiques of the predominant Western worldview and ecofeminist suggestions for doing theology. This article concludes with a discussion of the potential of ecofeminist theology for Sweden today.
