Description
Summary:Despite recent and extensive scientific literature about the Hittite tablets collections, research on the colophons is far from being complete. In this article only a little number of colophons will be considered and, when possible, the context related to their catalog number (CTH); we will explore the reconstruction of colophons which allow for their connection to texts which up until now have not been attributed (CTH 448: "Ritual for the Sun-goddess of the Earth."). Furthermore, the addition of geographical names (CTH 824: "Fragments of itinerary"), the names of scribes which modify previous hypotheses (CTH 645: "Festival for the Underworld Deities"), and proposals for the creation of new catalog numbers will be discussed (CTH 679: "Festival of the journey to Nerik").
