Summary:Analysis of questionnaire data from 1107 Arts College seniors at Columbia, Cornell, Fordham, and Notre Dame gives no support to the hypothesis of church-linked differences regarding interest in intellectual values. But when the responses from the two Catholic College campuses are anlayzed, a within-church association is found between an instrumental orientation to religion and weaker intellectual values.
