Description
Summary:Factor analysis has become a valuable means of investigating religious variables to determine the dimensions of religiousness. A review of many of the factor analytic studies that have been published, however, indicates some methodological issues to be addressed. Some of these are the number of subjects used, the ratio of subjects to variables, the reliability of scales or items factored, the representativeness of the sampling procedures, and the return rate on questionnaires. It is suggested that these issues be considered when designing future factor analytic studies.
