Description
Summary:This book's title, which is a play on the Religious Right's stated concern about “family values,” sets the stage for the book's juxtaposition of those values with the more liberal ones of Pagans. As Kermani amply illustrates, Pagans too have family values, which they attempt to pass on to their children. Although Pagans tend to de-emphasize the differences between themselves and others, they disproportionately are progressives who support environmentalism, women and gay rights, and have a very strong belief in personal freedom, particularly in the areas of religion, sex, and personal lives.
