Description
Summary:Spirituality Styles as Criteria for Typologies and Interpretation of the Contemporary Religious Field With the advent of the so-called “new religious movements” and their criticism of institutionalized religions, the notion of spirituality seems to take shape in the contemporary religious landscape. This paper applies this concept in order to classify the religious field into categories. Faced with previous taxonomic efforts, which tried to establish a "theory of spirituality of styles" with well defined nuclei, as was the case of Jose Jorge de Carvalho, now I propose an aggiornamento based on his typology, which takes into account the transits, combinations and hybrids crossing the current spirituality styles.
