| Summary: | This article explores various ideologies that shape how the human body (in particular, the disabled human body) is understood and often not addressed within theological education. Graduate schools of theology have limited experience with both the study of disability, and the presence of people with disabilities in particular, on their campuses. The absence of education about the human experience of disability represents a “missing note” in theological inquiry. The author provides an overview of critical boundaries that mark the limits and possibilities for theological inquiry about the human experience of disability. |
