Description
Summary:This work proposes a new method to construct a measure of religiosity by utilizing information obtained from Google Trends. The proposed measure, named Christian Religiosity Revealed by Search, is built upon ten comparisons between religious and non-religious topics, and is shown to perform better than the frequently used Gallup Poll and World Values Survey religiosity scores in explaining some economic and political indicators.
