Description
Résumé:This article looks to find clues for violence in culture - especially in western culture - tracing it throughout western though as recorded in philosophic writings. It also explores ways to move beyond violence in conflict situations by placing the victim in the center of the possible solution, reminding the important ethical responsibility in the technological application of scientific advances in avoiding to inflict irreversible damage to our planet and its inhabitants. The whole article is fueled by the hope that we can move forward to non-violent ways of conflict resolutions if we do so with determination and without fear.
