Furthermore, an exact translation of the Hebrew words remains difficult, because al and wl were apparently intermingled in (pre-)masoretic orthography. Anstelle von hawbt al !wmhb bha ymw, schreibt eine talmudische Fassung zu Koh 5,9 ymw hawbt wl !wmhb bha (b Makkot 10a). Die talmudische Textfassung darf offenkundig mit einem Teil der Textüberlieferung der Septuaginta in Beziehung gesetzt werden, die den schwierigen hebräischen Satz auch ihrerseits mehrdeutig wie folgt wiedergibt: kai. ti,j hvga,phsen evn plh,qei auvtou/ ge,nhma$ta%.. Darüber hinaus bleibt eine genaue Übersetzung des hebräischen Wortlauts schwierig, weil in (vor-)masoretischer Rechtschreibung al und wl anscheinend promiscue verwendet wurden. |
