Résumé: | The author examines some of the major political aspects of the conflict between Numayri and the leaders of the Islamic sects, parties and movements, especially in so far as the Ansar, the Muslim Brothers and the Sufi orders are concerned. Furthermore, he intends to try to determine how far Numayri's return to Islam may have been influenced by other Islamic political forces in the Sudan. Finally he attempts to examine the ideological positions of the major protagonists and to determine to what extent there is a real cleavage in their attitudes towards the "Islamic state". (DÜI-Ott) |
