Zusammenfassung: | It is often assumed that spiritual care cannot be provided for aging adults with cognitive impairment. However, we attest that chaplains and other health and human service professionals can touch the spirit of older adults with dementia, even when those with dementia are severely limited in their abilities to respond. Within this article, we present a case study that demonstrates how the type of spiritual care offered can be tailored to address the spiritual needs of those who experience increased cognitive impairment over time. |
