Summary:Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) this article discusses clinical work with a 58-year-old Caucasian female Army veteran seeking treatment for anxiety and depression. Important to our work together was her Christian faith and how we discussed this in our relationship and within the framework of ACT. Mindful attention to both the patient's and therapist's faith traditions was critical in achieving a successful treatment outcome.
