| Summary: | This critical study comes from the religious factor paradox in globalization and its American dysfunctionality, despite having been a key to its development as a country. The historical influence of the religious factor on the American idiosyncratic production or Americaness is evaluated (to agglutine identity, mentality and symbolic capital own and differentiated from other people). The periodic revision of its mitopoietic matrix and its legacy have been in charge by Cultural Studies, but since its excision and confrontation in the 1960s, in deep with the veils of confusion and cultural wars, it has become impossible to know what it is to be American (what it is the shared vision, mission and values). Because the current confusion and exaltation of the differential fact, there is not a single foundational milestone, also each community defends its own, againts others, as this study explains. Este estudio crítico parte de la paradoja del factor religioso en la globalización y su disfuncionalidad estadounidense, pese a haber sido clave para su desarrollo como país. Se evalúa así el influjo histórico del factor religioso en la producción idiosincrásica estadounidense o Americaness (al aglutinar identidad, mentalidad y capital simbólico propio y diferenciado de otros pueblos). La revisión periódica de su matriz mitopoiética y su legado ha estado a cargo de los Estudios culturales, pero desde su excisión y enfrentamiento en la década de 1960, agravándose con los velos de confusión y las guerras culturales, se ha vuelto imposible saber qué es ser estadounidense (cuál es su visión, misión y valores compartidos). Tal es la confusión y exaltación del hecho diferencial hoy, que ni siquiera hay ya un único hito fundacional, sino que cada comunidad defiende el suyo y ataca los demás, como se aclara en este estudio. |
