Description
Summary:The wealth of online materials concerning religion may seem to supplant and imperil the stature of Mircea Eliade's 16-volume Encyclopedia of Religion (1987), long considered the standard reference work in the field. To that end, the discussion enumerates some of the encyclopedia's most distinctive features that are not matched in other reference works, digital or print.
