| Zusammenfassung: | This study aims to see whether the absence of Abū l-Fatḥ al-Iskandarī, and his replacement by Abū l-ʿAnbas al-Ṣaymarī, truly moves the narrative of the Maqāmāt of al-Hamaḏānī from fiction to the allegedly factual “autobiography,” or whether, on the contrary, it confirms that the identity of the “hero” is, and whatever his name or kunya is, at least, double, which makes it impossible to distinguish the true from the false or the copy from the original. |
