Zusammenfassung:An essay is presented on the emergence of social movement in Turkey, particularly to a group called Anti-Capitalist Muslims (ACMs), and their relations with secular imaginings of social justice in the 20th and 21st centuries. Topics include the factors behind Islamists' retreat from activism and racidal thinking in the late 1990s, the ACMs' objection to global capitalism as manifested in its manifesto, and the critical arguments related to issues of public/private property and authoritarianism.
