Zusammenfassung:Which characteristics must a contemporary Islamic theology and religious pedagogy display in the German and European context in order to meet both the needs of European Muslims living in secular environments, and to make a contribution to shaping Islamic theology and religious education in the European context? This question, which is posed against the backdrop of the foundation of multiple Islamic theology centers at German universities, is explored by contributors from diverse disciplinary perspectives, which thus contribute to a reflection of contemporary debates in and around Islam
