Both parts will show how the comparative study of ancient Near Eastern writings and iconography, especially the Neo-Babylonian imperial propaganda, may lead to a better understanding of Ezekiel's message. Ezekiel, I will claim, depicts restored Israel as a Babylonia-like empire and its future leader as a great Neo-Babylonian king. | ||
