According to the series’ prospectus, the goal is to "go beyond cult stereotypes and popular prejudices" in order to highlight "the differences, as well as the similarities, within [the] great variety of religious expressions" found in contemporary new religious movements. Beyond brevity, the series does not have a set format, but of the first four volumes reviewed, each in its own way does an admirable job fulfilling this mission. | ||
