Zusammenfassung:The concept of the post-secular society; the dialogue between wisdom and faith might be - with a certain degree of probability - interpreted as a manifestation of desecularization. That religion, with its transcendent reference, may help in the many fields of modernity, sounds quite paradoxical. The chance for stabilization of the ambivalent modernism only with the use of communicative, secular powers of reason is, at least, doubtful. The European theory of secularization needs to be corrected in the contemporary world. A dialogue between secular reason and the reflective religious consciousness is crucial. This article discusses the situation of religion in the post-secular society - both secularization and desecularization. Some Western sociologists, more and more often, speak of the de-secularization processes or even of the end of secularization; of the "re-enchantment" of the world. They indicate new forms of spirituality and religiousness, the possible coexistence of religion and modernity, the revival of religion, re-spiritualization processes, and religious megatrends. These new forms of religion and spirituality have specific roles of barometers of social transformation, which can be more general in nature.
