Résumé: | The history and development of the AASR is well known to us, but we rarely take the time to consider if there is some distinctive core identity to our association. In this address I will pose some fundamental questions regarding identity: Do we have a core identity? Do we still have a sense of who we are and where it is that the association wants to go? And, can we maintain the diversity of membership, that we once recognised as a real strength, in our current circumstances where more and more of our members also belong to specialist academic groups based in distinct discipline areas? |
