We will do this through a bibliographic review of experts who have stood out in this field, resulting, then, in a panoramic state of the art on the subject. The theoretical perspective is decolonial, both from authors who defend decolonization from the critique of modernity-coloniality, such as Dussel and Mignolo, as well as from the critique of Orientalism initiated by Said. We conclude by defending that the category of "Orient" and the division between "Religious Daoism and Philosophical Daoism" should being abandoned, given its colonial harm to the studies of Daoism.
