Mythic narrative relates, for example, how the world began, how human beings and animals were created, and how certain customs, gestures, or forms of human activities originated. As myth is a narrative, many attempts to understand it have focused on its linguistic structure; for example, the meaning of myth is sought in the history and structure of the language itself. |
