Résumé: | Poverty, social inequality, exploitation of nature, population ex- plosion, the, erosion of moral values under the impact of mass media are some of the topics singled out for attention when we talk about contemporary problems. We may readily add the threat of the nuclear war and the wide disregard for human rights to the list. The crises facing us today surely do not come about overnight. Further- more, there are manifold, and complex causes contributing to their rise. Social, economic, political and technological factors have all played their parts in the creation of our present fear and suffering. But secu- larism, and with it, the accompanying loss of man's sense of awe and wonder, has certainly been a major reason why modern man has fallen to his current state! |
