Description
Résumé:This article was originally presented as the keynote address at the 2021 Yale-Edinburgh Conference, on the theme “Oral, Print, and Digital Cultures in World Christianity and the History of Mission.” It highlights the rise of digital technologies and the resultant development of digital culture—a culture that scholars of World Christianity are among the most well-suited to study. The article offers vignettes into different ways the Christian message has been translated into digital media and argues that this move transforms the digital space into a divine space, which offers new modes for people to experience, perceive, and practice the Christian religion.
