Published together, these papers constitute Volume 21 of the Association for the Sociology of Religion's series on Religion and the Social Order., Oftentimes anthologies of articles united by a designated general theme prove to be less than the sum of their parts, suffering from discontinuities in both the content and quality of the separate pieces.
