Description
Résumé:The idea of the “postsecular” is intended to suggest the need for a re-examination of what it means to claim that we live in a “secular” world/age/society. The concept also suggests that if we ever did live in a “secular age,” we have now left that era behind, and must think carefully about the social consequences. The purpose of this volume is to explore the place of religion within the social sciences, and to provide a critical evaluation of the concept of the “postsecular.
