Outre la protection du système des travailleurs concernés, des milliers de travailleurs migrants sont soudainement devenus visibles, occupant des emplois importants dans plusieurs secteurs pour lesquels il n’existe aucun intérêt dans les pays économiquement développés de l’Union européenne commune. Cependant, pour que ce projet politique commun de l’Europe ait un réel avenir, il faut penser à une amélioration importante des droits sociaux, notamment ceux de ses membres. Ce n’est qu’ainsi que d’autres migrants venant en Europe pourront également être traités équitablement. | ||
| 520 | |a During the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, we saw the violation of the human dignity of migrant workers from Eastern Europe in many sectors of work in the western part of the European Union. Irrespective of the protection afforded to the workers concerned, thousands of migrant workers have suddenly become visible, occupying important jobs in several sectors for which there is no interest in the economically developed countries of the common European Union. If the common political project of Europe is to have a real future, it is important to think about a significant improvement in social rights, especially those of its members.
