Um dos conceitos heurísticos de maior eficácia epistêmico-soteriológica da história da filosofia indiana, a noção de ignorância é esmiuçada de forma notável em todas as obras comentariais do filósofo da escola Advaita Vedānta Śaṅkarācārya (séc.
