His views on the spirit (ruh) is closely related to his understanding of the universe and man. His opinion on the spirit differs from many Muslim theologians and predecessors. He considers the spirit undivided and immortal abstract essence/substance. Although he proclaims Muslim philosophers infidel for their some views, he closely follows them in their evaluation of the spirit, namely it is undivided, abstract and immortal essence.
